Girls’ Soccer Takes on Highland in First Round of OHSAA Tournament

The girls’ soccer team (# 10 seed) opened up tournament action with a road game against Medina Highland (# 7 seed) on Monday.  Highland opened up a a 4 – 0 lead in the first half, when the Magics got on the board with a goal by Makenzie Damsa to make it 4 – 1 going into halftime.  The final was 6 – 1 as the team played hard for 80 minutes to end the season with a regular season record of 9 – 8.  Below is a game summary and box score from ohio.com.

Freshman Bella Delfino showed up big time in her first tournament game, netting four goals to help the Hornets advance in the Division I Medina District tournament.

Her sister, Daniella, contributed an assist as Highland (9-6-2) gained control early with a 4-1 halftime lead.
