Multiple Teams · Jason Morr Announced as the Head Wrestling Coach of the Magics

The Barberton Board of Education, the Barberton City Schools and the Barberton High School Athletic Department are proud to announce that BHS Alum Jason Morr will be the new Head Wrestling Coach of the Magics.  Jason was approved at the May 22, 2019 BOE meeting where he needed no introduction as he has been a fixture in the BHS wrestling program for almost two decades during Coach Mariola’s time leading the program.  The program is in good hands moving forward as the Magics look to continue to be a force in the Suburban League and in the area.

Coach Morr wrestled for the Magics during his high school career and was a three-year letterman and starter for the Cleveland State Vikings wrestling program.

Jason has been teaching Special Education at Barberton High School for twenty years along with coaching multiple sports (wrestling, football, cross country, baseball, softball and weight training at all different age levels) for twenty years for the Magics.  During his time as the lead HS assistant coach for Mariola, he helped the wrestlers at the HS, MS and youth levels to become the competitive program that it has been during that time frame.

Coach Morr and his wife Kester have two children – Jayden and Avery.
